The well used saying of “If it aint broke don’t fix it” is often used and in the case of the Premier Speedway Sprintcar Track Championship it will apply with Parr Motorsports and GF1 Chassis today agreeing to terms for a second straight season as naming rights sponsors of the prestigious award.

With Steven Lines having again showed his prowess throughout the 2011-12 season, to claim the immaculately presented GF1 Chassis as a back to back winner of the Premier Speedway Track Championship, the 2012-13 Track Champion will now also enjoy the spoils of victory with yet another GF1 Chassis and Panel Kit on offer courtesy of Parr Motorsports.

The announcement adds even more spice to the recent announcement of the Premier Speedway 2012-13 racing calendar which features six rounds of the Parr Motorsports GF1 Chassis Track Championship. The opening round will be held on Saturday November 24, 2012.

“After having introduced the track championship last season to Adrian and Kim from Parr Motorsport, it is very pleasing to again have their commitment to this award as our Naming Rights Sponsor of the 2012-13 Sprintcar Track Championship”, Premier Speedway General Manager David Mills said.

“We saw last season that Steven Lines was able to take out the track championship on the back of his strong performances especially in the SRA rounds of the Championship. I have no doubt it will be another hotly contested Championship this coming season”, Mills added.

“The GF1 Chassis is a very nice race car and they have produced some strong results both here in Australia, with the likes of Darren Mollenoyux taking out the Eureka Garages and Sheds Series, and also in the USA, I am sure the winner of the Parr Motorsports GF1 Chassis Track Championship will be more than satisfied with the prize on offer”, Mills concluded.

The new GF1 Chassis was released in October 2010 and has continued to develop into a state of the art Sprintcar Chassis. The GF1 incorporates a new design that makes it more capable of adapting to variable conditions. The margin for error during set-up can be significantly reduced.

The design of the front end has been re-engineered to reduce the amount of weld affected areas, permitting a more uniform and controlled flex zone in front of the engine compartment. Traditional diagonal bracing has been modified in several places, including the front end, in order to reduce areas affected by welding.

The reduction of weld-affected areas allows for more even flex and an overall more consistent chassis. A more repeatable car is the result. Every GF1 is fabricated by experienced, high quality craftsmen that ensure the designs are not compromised.

Parr Motorsports are based at 12 Lipton Drive Thomastown in Victoria and can be found at www.parrmotorsports.com.

Adrian and Kim specialise in all race parts including Chassis, Wings, Rear Ends, Driveline parts, Front End components, Suspension, Steering, Wheels, Fuel Tanks, Brakes and Engine Parts as well as Wingless Sprint specific race parts.
