The Management of the Premier Speedway Club, Warrnambool wishes to advise all of our valued visitors that due to Warrnambool City Council regulations camping is not permitted in the car parks at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool.
This includes all race dates, including the World Series Sprintcars; The Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic; as well as the Easter Sprintcar Trail and all other scheduled events.
Club Manager David Mills has continued to work closely with the Warrnambool City Council to try and overturn this position, however the correct procedures must be followed to enable the Club to have any chance of gaining the necessary permits that will allow camping at the track in seasons to come.
The Club appreciates the traditional values associated with camping at the tracks along with the friendships that have been created by virtue of camping in the past, however, should the Club wish to be succssful in arguing for the implementation of camping at the track, then your support is needed.
This is done by, NOT CAMPING AT THE TRACK! The Warrnambool City Council have indicated they will monitor the situation and issue infringement notices as they see fit. This would also have a detrimental affect on any application for a camping permit as lodged by the Premier Speedway Club.
The most recent advancement on this topic is a submission at some considerable cost by the Club to have the land upon which the Speedway venue is located re-zoned.
This will take some time and effects others Club related issues aside from the Camping issue. We do again ask for your co-operation and patience with regards to this matter.
Finally the Club would like to thank all race fans for their continued support and we look forward to seeing you in Warrnambool for one of our events very soon.
An updated Accommodation page has been posted on this site. Please support those that have already supported Premier Speedway.
Your assitance with this matter is appreciated.
